Favorite Tree: Oak tree

1.) How long have you been working at Joseph Tree?

I have been working with Joseph Tree for 2.5 years.

2.) How did you end up in the tree care industry and what is your favorite part about it?

I have always had a love of trees, the outdoors, and climbing. The timing and flexibility were right for Joseph Tree when I was looking for a part-time job. The Joseph brothers and their great company and leadership have allowed me to pursue an additional vocalization and career path while continuing my love for helping college students through other work on college campuses. My favorite part is the climbing and working with rigging systems and all the gear. There is a lot of fulfillment after climbing a big tree to either prune or remove it.

3.) Favorite thing to do while at Joseph Tree?

Besides what I have already mentioned, I have really enjoyed the camaraderie with the production crew. Every day is different and every day you work with different crew members. We have a solid team and it makes it easier and more fun.

4.) What’s your favorite thing to do while not at work?

Being with my family, Crossfit, a good cup of pour-over coffee at the local coffee shop, rock climbing, and being with friends around a campfire.

5.) Favorite movie?

Glory and Good Will Hunting.

6.) Favorite vacation spot?

Grand Marais, MN.

7.) Any random facts about you that you could share?

I rode a Bull for 8 seconds and was a New River Raft Guide for 3 years. Don’t want to brag but, my wife was a senior in college and I was a freshman when we first started dating.
