Team Member Spotlight – Abishai

Our first Climber of the Month is Abishai Schoenbein! We sat down with him to talk about all things trees.

How long have you been working at Joseph Tree? How long have you been doing tree work?

I have worked for Joseph Tree for two years. I have been doing tree work since I was a kid and worked on my Grandpa’s tree farm.

How did you end up in the tree care industry and what is your favorite part about it?

I started my own tree service and realized that I didn’t have the knowledge or experience to complete the work safely on my own. I started with Joseph Tree to gain experience and to learn. My favorite part about the tree care industry is the opportunity it gives me to climb.

Favorite thing to do while at Joseph Tree?

My favorite thing to do while at Joseph Tree is the climbing and pruning of trees. Also the mental and physical challenge of removing large trees.

What’s your favorite thing to do while not at work?

My favorite thing to do while not at work is spending time with my wife. We enjoy hiking, playing euchre, and watching movies together.
